Who's feeling the need... the need for speed!!! It's time to wrap the Summer Series up with 12.5 laps around the track.

Red Lizard Track 5k
Lincoln High School (1600 SW Salmon St, Portland)
Start times:
Women 7:00 pm
Men 7:30 pm

Only $5 for TRL members, $10 for nonmembers

The target number of runners per heat will be 20, so depending upon the interest level, there will be 2-3 heats—one women’s heat, starting at 7:00 pm, followed by the first heat of men at 7:30, and if more than 25 men plan to run, we'll have a faster 2nd mens heat start at 8:00.

Since this is the finale of the Summer Series, all attempts will be made to have men and women racing against each other so that they can compete head-to-head.

To register, post the following in this thread or PM/email Torrey (torrey@redlizardrunning.com) with your:

Last race of the 2008 Summer Series folks!

Torrey, I won't be running, but I will be there and can help. Let me know what I can do.

We'll be there. I can help with the timing.

I'll probably bring along some wine and snackies to share
being it is Jen and my wedding anniversary.

I know, I know...We spent about 6 years celebrating by watching
the Softball World Series.

Since we always have the kids tagging along, we never get to do the
romantic dinner thing anyway, so we figure we might as well
spend the time with friends. Once the kids are grown and gone frantics.gif

Go for it. I think we'll have space to accomodate anyone who wants to race.

Continue to PM, email or post here if you plan to run, but day of race registration will be available.

What are your recommendations for parking? I may have to drive if I'm running late.

I'm in and I'll try and find someone else to bring along too.

I'll say that I'm in the 20 minute range. Not sure about the person I'm bringing, I believe it'll be her first.

I'd like to see if these lung thingies are really working again

Len Neiberg
Age: 40
Time: ~17:59.999998 (shooting for 0.000001 faster than newly unretired sempai Tim thumbsup.png )

I'll be bringing my two girls (aged 6 and 3) to watch. Is there anyone else planning on bringing kids who would be o.k. with watching them during my race? They're pretty easy most days (famous last words).
