Of course everybody at work makes the comment, "Wow, this must be a nice change to have this great weather for running!"

Yeah, whatever; they're obviously clueless. I want clouds, rain and 51 degrees back...

I was sucking wind today and that was at noon. Seven miles felt much longer than that.

Not to sweat on your parade, but one of my fellow Goose runners told me tonight that this was a perfect day. And you know, I agreed. I believe the phrase was "at last." 85; that's my fave temp.

The answer would be me. I ordered a tall stack of hot weather. Growing up in SoCal, this is the weather I'm used to. In high school, it wouldn't be unusual to run a week straight in 90 degree weather and maybe a day or two hitting triple digits. Of course, we were teenagers then and nothing seemed to phase us.

It's great weather for a morning run at Eagle Creek.

With this hot east wind, ya run into it and it cools ya down but it is a pretty
strong head wind at times. Then when ya with the wind, nice push
but that's when ya start feeling the HEAT
(for added effect, imagine little heat waves rising off the word heat ;-)

What is this "east wind" you speak of? We have no such wind west of the West Hills. whistle.png
However, running with no wind and 99% humidity this morning sucked big time. I was still sweating 15 minutes after my run ended.

It's a MIGHTY BLOW we east siders experience every so often.

This is still nothing compared to the hot and sticky East coast! Try running in 90+ degree heat with 90%+ humidity! Or doing races when you are sweating at 6:30 am before you even start doing anything (note- trying your first half marathon in Virginia Beach on Labor Day is not the best idea). And these temperatures won't last. I'm considering this to be good summer weather training. I'm so glad to be back on the West coast, even if we do have to deal with a few hot days here and there! cool.gif
