It was cold today. And contrary to my expectation, even though it was 37 degrees in downtown Portland, there was frost on the track by 5:15, when I arrived. And left-over snow from this morning. It's amazing how much colder Duniway can be than nearby areas.

But surprisingly, we had 21 (if I count in the most generous way):

me

Fernando

Miles (welcome)

Alistair

Laura

Daniel

Elijah

Anh

Kilter

Tim (10)

Erin

Lily

Hans

Gareth

Klarissa

Lauren

Kau

That's 17. I'm missing two.

The other two were visiting women who chatted up and didn't actually join us, but promise to return. Names elude me. But they were looking for a club, so I suspect we'll see them back.

Not bad for a truly cold evening. It's almost 8 pm, and I'm still having trouble typing, due to cold hands!

Thanks for being there - through the worst of conditions - without fail Rick.

Not an easy assignment to stand around in inclement conditions watching people run in ovals.

Your dedication is greatly appreciated.

I was more impressed by the number of runners who showed up. If my hands got that cold, when I had pockets to shove them into, I can imagine how it felt to be running in it!
