The flurry of holiday related activities for 2017 continues! Mark your calendars!  :santa:  :santa:  :santa:  :santa:  :santa:  :brr:  :brr:

Who: You (and your friends and family!)
What: Christmas lights, running, eating, drinking and being merry!

When:  Friday, December 15 @ 6:00PM
Where: Foot Traffic, 333 SW Taylor (NOTE THE NEW LOCATION for 2017)

This is a 6.4 mile run that includes a stop to enjoy the decorated houses of Peacock Lane followed by the most awesome potluck once we return to Foot Traffic DOWNTOWN location (new for 2017). For those interested in a shorter walk route, we'll likely do a 3 mile or so downtown holiday sightseeing route.

The weather can be unpredictable so please dress appropriately and remember that Peacock Lane will likely be crowded and a walk through (i.e. layers and headlamps are a good idea). All paces are welcome and encouraged. We'll likely split into several groups, so you can either find someone else running about the same pace, or memorize the route and be wildly popular with someone else who appears lost.

Post what you plan to bring to the potluck, below are some general categories of things we'll need, I'll update this with who's bringing what as people post.

We always end up with an amazing spread, so lets be sure to keep that tradition alive!

Paper plates/utensils (Cups for warm or cold bev, napkins, plastic forks/spoons)
(Plan on at least 40 people) Can split this with someone else.

Beverages (beer, wine, soda, cider, etc)

Finger food/Appetizers (chips, dips, breads, veggies, fruit, salsa, etc)

Savory (pizza, chili, casseroles, meats, potatoes, salads, pasta sides,

Sweets (cookies, cakes, desserts, rum balls, those yummy cookie bars that Lisa always makes, etc)

Help setting up or clean up (A few people)

Thanks for the food!

We are just trying something new. We received feedback that the NE Fremont Foot Traffic store was difficult to get to with traffic (I know the story everywhere, every time....).

I'm in! Will bring some fruit (finger food/appetizers). I can help with set up also.

For those who have not done this Peacock Lane run in the past, the run and lights are nice, but the real star is the potluck meal afterwards. Always the best of the year!

I will bring my pesto pizza pieces that have been positively reviewed in the past. I am leaning towards just doing the post-run party.

Hello all,

Kate asked if I would map out a route for this Friday's Peacock Lane run. REMEMBER, this year, we are departing from the DOWNTOWN Foot Traffic store on SW 3rd & Taylor.

Here is a link to the route: http://www.mapmyrun....view/1887107798

And here are turn-by-turn directions:

Start at FT on SW 3rd & Taylor

SW Taylor St -> Waterfront Park
-> over Hawthorne Bridge (southside of bridge out) to Eastside Esplanade
-> Eastside Esplanade to SE Clay St (turn left)
-> to SE Ladd Ave (turn right)
-> to SE Palm St (turn left)
-> follow SE Palm St (becomes SE Holly St/16th Ave Alley)
-> to SE Hazel St (veer right)
-> to SE Elliott Ave (turn left)
-> to SE Hawthorne Blvd (turn left)
-> to SE 20th Ave (turn right)
-> to SE Salmon St (turn right)
-> to SE 37th Ave (turn left)
-> to SE Yamhill St (turn right)
-> to SE Cesar Chavez Blvd (turn left)
-> to SE Belmont St (turn right)
-> to SE PEACOCK LN (turn left - out & back on PEACOCK LN)

***return trip
-> to SE Belmont St (turn right, head WEST)
-> to SE 33rd Ave (turn left)
-> to SE Taylor St (turn right)
-> to SE 7th Ave (turn left)
-> to SE Hawthorne Blvd (turn right)
-> cross Hawthorne Bridge (northside of bridge in)
-> follow ramp/bike path to Waterfront Park
-> to SW Taylor St (turn left)
-> back to SW Taylor St & 3rd Ave

TOTAL DISTANCE = ~7 miles

See everyone Friday!
