With daylight savings starting this weekend Thursday, the 17th marks the first chance to run the Red Lizard Goose Run with enough daylight to run on trails to

Pittock Mansion !

This sounds like a pretty good reason to celebrate to me.

Join us by running this big hill (1,000 feet in elevation) and then back down again and then be rewarded with food, beer and lots of runner swag giveaways at the famous Goose Hollow Inn.

Here's the  specifics :

When : Thursday, March 17, 2016 at 6:00 pm (please be prompt)

What : Red Lizard "YAY FOR TRAILS" Goose Run on the summer route

Where : Meet at the intersection of SW 19th and SW Madison  one block north of the Goose Hollow Inn

Distance : About 7 miles total with close to 1,000 feet of elevation gain

Who can participate : Anyone.  ALL levels of ability are welcome.  No one gets left behind.  We even regroup mid way to wait for stragglers

Stick around afterwards and enjoy some free beer, food and runner swag giveaways in the Goose Hollow Inn.

Join us as we get back to the dirt and once again run the Wildwood trail up to Pittock !!

I have tickets for the World Track championships which also start at 6 PM on Thursday March 17th, so I guess I will miss this Goose run.

Whaaatt?   Have you really thought that through Joanna ?  This Goose run will be epic!

Enjoy the "Champs".  We'll have a moment of silence to mark your absence.

Warm and dry conditions are predicted for Thursday !  The view from the mansion should be spectacular.

I am becoming giddy with anticipation of finally running in some dirt up to Pittock !

Yes, this is CHANGE-OVER DOUBLE GOOSE NIGHT. At least a few hardy souls will be doing the winter route to Council Crest one last time starting at 4:45pm from the usual meeting spot before meeting everyone else at 6pm for the summer route to Pittock. Come join us.

I could dig deeper..., but then I'd be further in a hole.

I am hoping timing works out for me to make it this evening.  I do love that trail up to Pittock...

Warm and sunny, a trail run with a spectacular view from the top, free beer and food at the end along with some runner swag giveaways. What could be better ? Oh yeah, hopefully a chance to say good bye to Amy AL-khalisi before she heads east tomorrow morning !

And don't forget that it's St. Patty's Day !

Wear your green or take the chance of getting pinched.  Unless of course you like that sort of thing.  ;-)

Beautiful evening, but definitely chilly without the sun. Four of us did Council Crest, then 18 + three dogs to Pittock and back to the Inn where we joined three more folks.

Rumor has it that Raghav was lurking in the shadows too.

Spectacular view from Pittock.  14 people took home runner giveaway swag and we filled the Goose heated patio section where everyone enjoyed beers, nachos and cameraderie - compliments of TRL.

It was a fun evening.
