The holiday's are here and so it the return of our annual Peacock Lane run and (never disappointing) potluck!

Come check out Northeast Portland's annual tradition of Christmas lights on Peacock Lane and stay for TRL's infamous potluck at Foot Traffic.  Here are the details:

Who: You (and your friends and family!)
What: Christmas lights, running, eating, drinking and being merry!

When:  Monday December 15th, 6pm
Where: Foot Traffic, 4020 NE Fremont

This is about a 6 mile run or walk that includes a stop to enjoy the decorated houses of Peacock Lane followed by the most awesome potluck once we return to Foot Traffic. The weather can be unpredictable so please dress appropriately and remember that
Peacock Lane will likely be crowded and a walk through (i.e. layers and headlamps are a good idea). All paces are welcome and encouraged. We'll likely split into several groups, so you can either find someone else running about the same pace, or memorize the route and be wildly popular with someone else who appears lost.

Here's the route: http://www.gmap-pedo....com/?r=4170318  although you can go whatever way you want - just make sure you see the lights and most importantly, get back in time for some food!

Post what you plan to bring to the potluck, below are some general categories of things we'll need, I'll update this with who's bringing what as people post. We always end up with an amazing spread, so lets be sure to keep that tradition alive!

Paper plates/utensils (Cups for warm or cold bev, napkins, plastic forks/spoons)
(Plan on at least 40 people) Can split this with someone else.

Being retired and all now, I can help set up. Are we going to bring coats and warm clothes for the Blanchet House folks, as has been done occasionally in the past, or wait until we serve dinner there?

Thank you Colleen. I am going to attempt a crock pot lasagna this time around.

I found a recipe for Nutella brownies (that also happen to be gluten-free!). I'll give it a try.

If it fails, I'll bring fruit instead.

Gordy was sick today, so I need to pick him up from the vet this evening.  So I won't have time to make it to the run this evening, the potluck is a maybe.

I already had the turn-by-turn directions prepared, so if anyone wants to print them out, they are attached.
