As some of you may know, Brendan is leaving Portland this Friday. The reason for this move, in his words, was "The beer mile competition SUCKS around here. I'm moving on to some place where someone can actually give me a run (and drink) for my money."

Seriously, he's onward to the L.A. area to begin a two-year MBA program at USC. Hopefully, the constant sun doesn't bake his senses, and he returns up north when he's done.

Please join me in wishing him the very best of luck in his new quest.

Brendan, it's been fun getting to know you, running with you, and pacing you to your first, but hopefully NOT ONLY, sub 3:00 marathon. Good luck, stay in touch and don't gloat too much when it's gloomy and rainy here...

I'd imagine you'll be back for next years Beer Mile since with it's increased popularity, I'm sure the prize money will have doubled!
