If you are just getting over a foot injury and wearing Newtons was not part of your recovery/healing method, I would advise you to stay away from them. I have to admit I haven't taken a look at the newer versions and am only familiar with the original Newton shoes. But any shoe that forces you into a new position (the shoes are built up under the ball of the foot to force you into a forefoot foot strike pattern)places you at a high risk for injury when getting use to the new form.

Agree with Susan...I tried Skechers which are the less expensive version of Newtons and my plantar and calves did not agree. But, I feel both companies have great concepts (Meb won the marathon trials wearing Skechers) but you need to walk/jog on them first. My feedback is that they give you a running boost. It feels like they propel you forward where one stride feels like two strides. You have to condition your feet and legs first, though.
