and a CANADIAN!!!

Flashback to 2010 when I was at the finish line to watch the wheelchair finisher. So cool.

Is anyone tracking the Lizard group?

Yeah-
Len's through the 15K with a projected finish of 2:49

Most everyone else is through 10K, except Carin, who I'm guessing just started?

Paces are:
Dan: 3:09
Bill: 3:19
LT: 3:25
Susan: 3:15

Susan seems to be running awesome, especially for this just being a fun run without a real taper in the midst of Tri training.

Man, it's painful to watch everybody on the athlete tracker. I can only hope that they aren't suffering too much. I hope they've just kind of backed off and are managing to enjoy the atmosphere.

You guys are crazy tough for doing this, hang in there.

I am at mile 16 waiting for Loof with a semi -frozen water and Hatorade. There are a lot of very fit-looking people moving very slowly. I think it's appropriate that this year's jackets are fire-colored.

Oh I am kind of virtually freaking out watching the splits of the 4 runners I'm tracking including Carin. One is a gal that usually runs a 6-7 min mile and she's posting 8:57 and 8:53 splits at the 25k and 30k.

I hope they are able to just relax and don't feel bad about this thing, especially those that it's likely the only chance they'll get!

This heat not only sucks for the runners but the sponsors who counted on their logos on volunteer jackets, mylar blankets etc. can't be pleased.

Sending a loud virtual cheer. Don't Lizards love heat ;)

I had to go work and can't seem to get the tracker to load now, so if people can keep updating finishing times, that would be awesome. Should be some interesting race reports coming our way...

Also, an article I just read said that 16 percent(4,290 runners) didn't start this morning. I wonder how that'll play out next year.
