I guess you did specify meets so ignore my question. Also, the Oregon Twilight meet is on 5/5. The Pepsi Invitational is on 4/7 and they're featuring a 100/mile Masters exhibition race. Not sure I'm ready for either the 100 or mile.
Wow, punctuation is cool. I read that initially as 100-mile. I'm not ready to watch that!

do you mean track meets or track workouts? If you mean track meets, I hope to be ready for 1-2 college meets and most of the local Masters meets. I have to drop down to the 400 this year, though. First one on my schedule is L&C on 3/23 or U of O Masters exhibition 400 on 4/7....part of the Oregon Twilight meet. Anyone else up for some high octane track action?
I'd been thinking of recommending L&C to a lot of the women but Direct Athletics does not list it as open to individuals. Do we need to talk to Keith?

I believe Rick was referring to Keith Woodard the head coach at LC.I love watching track meets. Yes, I think someone should talk to Keith about this, he has natural speed and with some proper training of workouts etc, he might surprise himself and folks. JS

Sweet! Thank you for posting, Fidel. OK, I plan on doing the first meet (March 25). Second meet (April 22, 11am) is same day as TRL 5 miler (9am); might make for an interesting double. Too early to plan for third meet (May 20).
My concern with the masters meets is that they won't be well attended. Masters are age 30 and up, so you don't have to be very old. Come on out! With a lot of contestants, track meets can be a lot of fun. (And if you're concerned about being last, just invite someone slower.

August in the Chicago area. That should be ideal weather!I'll be running track but not until June. The USATF master's meet is in early August in suburban Chicago and is my goal meet.

I intend to run the 5000 and then the 1500. Both races will be in the morning and the weather won't be a problem for the 1500. All of my competitors will have the same weather for the 5000 so I won't mind. It just won't be that fast.
