Fidel, you're skill/level of research is impeccable.  Kudos.

All this talk of good vs. bad running shorts all pales in comparison to what you see out at triathlons.

Yesterday at Hagg Lake I saw a guy wearing a speedo, man-bra, and had more hair on his back than most 80's glam rockers had on their heads.

I couldn't agree with you more Grumpy Joe! huh.gif

As for the triatholons... I worked both in a health club and at a resort in Orlando FL. I can tell you stories of bad clothes that would make your hair curl! blink.gif grin.png

Yeah those are hot. But seriously I want something shorter. Like the lenght of the Mizuno or Nike ones I wear.

Like this. But pink.

I'll probably get sh*t for this.....not only is it important for how a female looks in split-side shorts but WHERE she may wear them, that is. Like the Fulton Run....crossing the Sellwood Bridge with the wind blowing across it. rolleyes.gif

*Sigh* No comment.

You don't have to have split side shorts to be a victim to the Sellwood wind. It's not just shorts, either. I'm sure there's been a few times some poor, unsuspecting victim had to see some tummy as they drove over the bridge. It's a little reminder that running shorts are the coolest...because they have liners!

Whatever you wear, just make sure it covers your backside. I ran with the Portland Fit group on Saturday and there was a woman with pink side-split shorts that were at least two sizes too small for her. Half of her butt cheek was hanging out. It was not a pretty sight. (And I think any man would have agreed). If she had worn the appropriate size then she could have pulled it off.
