Dear Red Lizards,

In late July, myself and Run To Connect co-founder Adam Meyer will embark on a 3,000 mile run from Portland, OR to Washington, DC. The goal of this trans-America run is to actively engage with individuals in the communities we encounter. Adam aims to find examples of good governance while I hope to explore local education issues; the run represents taking a ‘one step at a time’ approach to find common ground in an attempt to solve major problems.

Since we want to meet as many people as we can, we would love to meet local Portland runners/community members as we head out!  If you would be interested in joining for a bit of running, sharing a meal, or driving our support vehicle for a couple of days, we’d love to hear from you! We'd also be delighted if you know other runners along our route whom you could recommend we meet with.

To learn more and see the route, please visit our website at runtoconnect.org and drop us an email at run2connect@gmail.com.

Thanks for taking the time to read. We hope to hear from you soon, and happy running!
