Well, technically, my previous best half marathon was the second half of my marathon pr from 2009, which was somewhere around 87 minutes. It's not a distance I run very often.

But still, I'll take it.

2010 mileage: 2929
2009 mileage: 2875
2008 mileage: 2436.5
2007 mileage: 2254.5
2010 prs/races: 1/7
2009 prs/races: 15/18
2008 prs/races: 12/17
2007 prs/races: 9/11

Since so many Lizards have been shattering their p.r.s left and right recently, since Diep says he'll retire from racing when he no longer thinks he can p.r., and since Tim and Albert have resorted to reaching into the distant past to compare best performances, I thought it was time to start a personal records thread where we can record our best times (and hopefully update them as needed). The beauty of p.r.s is that they represent competition with ourselves, regardless of what others are running, so don't be shy about posting them, whether you're a "fasthole" or a "slowski" (I hate labels!). I know there are people in this club who have run much faster than I ever have (Foland, Chuck, Danny, Dave Harding, Wendy T. ). This may also cut down on the sandbagging if we can see what people are really capable of

Joe,

My 5 mile and 10K PRs both came en route in a 10 mile race. 10K PR is 32:53. I hate 10K races and have never done one on a track.

This new guy will play.  Reading through the thread, there are some seriously fast PR's in Lizardland.

As a former fast twitch guy the longer the run, the weaker the PR.  The older I get the worse my memory gets but here goes....

100Y: 9.7  hand time 1976 (yikes, 40 years ago)

100M: 10.61 in 1978

220Y: 22.1 hand time in 1976

200M: 21.32  in 1978

400M: 46.29 in 1984

Mile: 4:3x in the mid 90's

5k: 15:35

10k:  34.xx  in the mid 90's

15k: 54 or 55 something at the Cascade Runoff early 90's

1/2 marathon.  1:18 in the mid 90's

marathon 2:53 in the mid 90's.

PR stands for personal record, so they are for everyone! :frantics:

I believe Jeff Huber is responsible for the abundance of creative emoticons here!
