A group of friends and my wife and I are going to Spain to do a few weeks of cycling in summer 2015. We'd like to get as educated as possible about the areas we're planning to visit.

Has anyone ever cycled around Spain?

We're most interested in areas of Spain with a high concentration of bike from your door routes?

We are probably interested in Pyrennees and/or Girona areas.

Anybody have any poop on this ?

Thanks.
Mark

I biked the Pyrenees and Girona areas last year.  Unfortunately I don't have my maps anymore, but I can dig around a bit and get back to you with more info.

The Via Verde between Olvera and Puerto Serrano is good.  About 40 kms.  A disused and converted railway line . Probably only worthwhile if you're in the area.

I would suggest checking out the Costa Brava area. Torrey and I ate, ran our way through this area. Stunning scenery and plenty of quaint villages to roll into for amazing eats.
