Last year, I trained to climb my first mountain (Mt Hood) through the American Lung Association's Climb for Clean Air Reach the Summit Program. It was amazing experience! I definitely have caught the bug for mountaineering (of which running is a great cross training activity. Since then, I've climbed Mt Adams, South Sister, St. Helens, and Mt Washington. If you are interested or need to take a break from running, check it out for 2013 http://action.lung.o...onal&fr_id=6740

Marla, you going to try Jefferson?
I'd like to.
The ridge looks scary, and certainly something that has to be done with someone experienced.
For me, it's one of those ~NO WAY!~...yah, WAY! kind of climbs.
