If you don't know about it this is an extraordinary opportunity for bike enthusiasts.

Every year the dept. of transportation opens up the freshly plowed McKenzie Pass road to bicyclists ONLY - no cars are allowed. It is open NOW.

I plan to go this Tuesday with a few of my wife's fasthole biker friends. It is supposed to be 80 degrees on Tuesday !!

I can't keep up with them though and would rather not ride alone.

Is there any chance anyone can join me on Tuesday for this epic ride?

Here's the link http://www.columbian...cars-open-road/

I've wanted top do this ride for years. I've only ridden it in mid-summer.

Brian, have you ever ridden it when it's only open to bikes before?

I'm going this Tuesday. I got a bike-buddy to agree to do it with me.

Still room for more slowski's.

No, I've never done it.

We are looking at riding Sisters on Saturday, spend the night and the pass on Sunday.

This was AWESOME! Long day but flat out AWESOME.

I would recommend it to anyone who rides a bike.

Did you start on the west side?  Did you go to Sisters and back?  (Or vice versa)?

Started in Sisters - so east side.

A little thin on pavement just past the Dee Wright Observatory but rideable. Someone said that it was just clear enough of snow at that point to bike safely starting the day before. So got lucky.
