It looks like fun. I have decided that 2008 is going to be my official Year of Avoiding Commitment (because I want to make a resolution I can keep for a change), so I will probably decide the day of the run.

"Why aren't you signed up for the 401k?"

"I'd never be able to run that far."

Do you think Django would like to do 15 with Dodger? puppeh.gif

Django wouldn't miss it for anything. If I tried to leave without him he would probably pee in my gearbag.

This run sounds awesome. I would love to do the 20 miler. Is there anyone interested in running about a 11m/mile pace with me?

FInally, a New Years Resolution I could make. thumbsup.png I think I would change it to the "Year of Not Making Decisions" since I am already Committed. wub.gif heart.png hug.gif

"Did you win a medal?" - Sebastian Terris, after my recent training run (not race)

If this running thing starts to feel to easy, you are probably doing it wrong.

Yeah, your way of expressing the concept makes more sense than mine.

I'm avoiding committing to events, plans, and stuff like that. I'm not, in principle, opposed to committing to people, provided they're the right people.

The 31-miler does sound awesome. But lots of things sound awesome from a couple months away and look completely insane once they get a bit closer . . .

I think we should make it "The Year of Last Minute Decisions" thumbsup.png

Don't forget this is coming up... if you're thinking about going the distance, you had better be getting in some other running in the meantime. Don't be Torrey last year... or apparently Torrey this year if he doesn't get his act together.

I'm taking myself out of this year's Purge and Splurge...I just don't want to do two long runs back to back...I want to have the option of doing the First Run if I want to if I can't hang out with anyone else on New Year's... thumbsup.png
