Volunteers needed for the Lizard Flat Half Aid Station

The Flat Half is coming up and we need volunteers for the Lizard Aid Station. I am looking for 15 to 20 people to help out on July 4th.
We will set up the station, hand out water and energy drinks and cheer. It would be helpful if some could help at the end to take down the station and clean up. There are a few shifts: 6 am to 10 am, 8 am to 11:30 and all day.
I could really use a few people at 6 am to help me set the tent up. I know it's super early but there is less traffic at that time. I will bring Sesame Donuts!
Foot Traffic will provide everything we need for the aid station.
We can bring cow bells, signs, music, snacks and drinks for ourselves. You can even bring family members, kids, friends and your dogs if you want to.
If you are doing the 5k, 10k, or half you can still help afterwards!
There is a lot of traffic so I suggest CARPOOL!
I plan on getting there at 530. The Aid Station is NUMBER 7 and at MILE 12.
DIRECTIONS to station: when you get on the island turn right and drive past the start/finish. Tell the traffic volunteers you are volunteering at the aid station. Look for the Red Lizard Tent. Park anywhere that is off road.
CARPOOL LOCATION: if you want to carpool with others, meet at Starbucks parking lot on NW 29th and Yeon/Hwy 30. There is a lot of traffic so allow plenty of time.
Other things to bring are warm clothes, sunscreen, camara, bug spray, allergy meds if you need them, snacks, beverages. A cooler would be great to bring. I have one I can bring.
You can sign up by replying to this thread.
Thanks!

I'm running the half, but can limp over afterwards and help. I'm carpooling with a friend who is running the full, so not sure how long I can stay after he's done (4+ hour finisher), unless I find a ride with someone else.

This is a fun way to spend the 4th. I fell asleep at the switch and missed registration for the 5K, but I'm still looking forward to helping out at the aid station. I can't believe I'm typing this, but I can get there early to help set up (The donuts and less traffic will make up for the drowsiness)

Love this event. Would not be the 4th of July without it. A slightly later shift (8:30AM) would be better for us. I'll have M with me most likely.

Count me in to help. I think running the full last year was easier, but if Joe can make it for the early shift, so can I.

FYI - I wouldn't recommend bringing a dog. There is little shade and it gets hot. Plus, you're gonna want to focus on having fun cheering on runners!

See you then.

Time is ticking away fast.........I'll raise my hand to help.....I know this is a very popular aid station and needs quite a few people to help out. I can be there for the early setup. Probably can stay for most of the day.

I'll be there for the 8AM-1130AM shift.
Last year the traffic was horrendous, so I will be biking this year. If anyone wants to bike out together, I'll be at Montgomery Park (2701 NW Vaughn Street) at 7AM. There's a big parking lot so you can leave your car there.

P.S.- The Goose will be happening later that day as usual!
If I had some ham I could make ham and eggs if I had some eggs.
