Teal, maybe we can carpool out there for the 8am shift? I'd be happy to pick up anyone else coming from the NW area too, just let me know!

CARPOOL! There is a lot of traffic for this race. The race starts at 6:30am
I will be getting on the island about 530. I plan to leave Beaverton at 445 am.
I could use 3 people to help me set the tents up.
CARPOOL LOCATION: if you want to carpool with other volunteers, meet at Starbucks parking lot on NW 29th and Yeon/highway 30.
When you get on the island, turn right and drive PAST the start/ finish to Aid Station 6. It is at mile 12. Let the traffic volunteers know you are a volunteer. Look for a Red Lizard tent. Park anywhere that is off the road.
When we first get there we will set up the tables, tents, and pour electrolyte drink or water in cups. It gets really busy around 8am.
Things to bring: sunscreen, warm clothes , bug spray or allergy meds if you need them. You guys can bring cowbells, if someone has a big cooler that would be great. We can use it for volunteer's beverages and snacks. You can bring snacks to share. Remember to stay hydrated. Camaras would be good too and music.
Looking forward to seeing everyone!

What time should carpoolers plan on leaving Starbucks and heading to the island?

Thanks to all the volunteers at the aid station! The barbecue was a success! Good job to all the runners! It was a very fun day!
Thanks, Bhavana, for organizing the TRL aid station. It was definitely the biggest and most supportive aid station on the whole course; very visual, audible, and encouraging. I certainly appreciated all the encouraging support from the volunteers as I came through.
Oh, and I'll reconnect with you about purchasing the TRL singlet.
Thank you!
