Okay... so we've got a few ready to help.. I need to know asap if you can help us out this Saturday with the aid station. All you need to do is show up and sacrifice your morning for the love of running. The marathon clinic provides the table and refreshing fluids. We provide labor, smiling faces and some snacks like gummi bears, pretzels, M&M's, etc. It's a lot of fun and a great way to help out the local running community (not to mention lots of good PR for TRL)...

Paul - what's the finalized plan? Are you trying to get 8 folks to man all 4 aid stations? Or do they have some of the others covered? Also, did I miss the time commitment - when would I need to arrive (and how soon could I leave grin.png )?

Oh god, I hope not. Last year we met at the rendevous point ~8am? I think we finished around 1pm. But if you have something pressing, there's no obligation to stay the whole time I imagine.

Hey Torrey -- do you have our tent? grin.png And banners? Does this mean you're in? wink.gif

I emailed Katie and told her we had 6 so far... knowing that a few more will commit at the last second. She hasn't let me know yet just how many aid stations they need help for.. in the past we've only worked one and turned it into a Lizard propoganda machine and party central.

The time commitment on Saturday is anywhere from 7:30 am to probably 1 pm depending on which aid station we're assigned. I'll try to get details nailed down by Friday.

I've got the tent and Andrew gave me all of the flags this past weekend. Is someone brigning music? I suppose IBS can just open up the doors and trunk on the 'stang and it will be time to rock 'n roll tongue.gif

Here's the latest from Katie w/ PMC:

Hi Paul, that is the best news I have heard all week!!! I will put the Red Lizards down for 2 aid stations on Sat. We will provide all the materails as usual, except the candy, but if I have left overs I will make sure they go to your aid staions. Thank you so much for your help. Have your people show up downtown no later than 7:30 on 4th, along the sidewalks between Main and Salmon. We will have the aid materials out on the sidewalk, have them stay with their cars unless they can park close, and we will bried everyone there.

I'm a no go due to schedule changes. My work had to schedule me this weekend to give me the days off I needed for the sprained ankle. Sorry everyone! sad.gif

Okay, we've got 6 again, not five. A couple more would be nice, but I think 6 of us can handle 2 aid stations.

So I'll see you all on Saturday bright and early at 7:30 am on 4th & Main.
