It's springtime! And you know what that means....

Come outside and volunteer with Team Red Lizard at this year's Special Olympics regional track meet - Mt Hood Community College Track, 26000 SE Stark Street, Gresham, Oregon, Saturday June 2, 9am - 5pm.

This is TRL's 16th year organizing and coordinating this event. This is the largest Special Olympics Oregon (SOOR) regional track meet in Oregon. It has attracted as many as 400 athletes and is the stepping stone to State, National, and World Championships.

We have many positions to fill (see list below) so the call goes out to all. Whether former TRL member, friends and family of members or someone you know wishing to help, you are all welcome! This is an excellent experience for children as well, as long as you can be available to monitor them. Open lead positions require past experience. Feel free to sign up for a half day if your time is limited. I will do my best to accommodate you.

Also, this event is a qualifier for Community Service credit for area high school and college students.

When you sign up you will be given complete and simple instructions. You also will be given a Special Olympics volunteer shirt and, if you are a full day volunteer, a complimentary lunch.

This is a truly inspiring volunteer experience. Bring yourself, your smile and your willingness to help Special Olympic athletes have fun in reaching their goals to compete and win!

Just post or email me; Lou Karl; lou@redlizardrunning.com

Hi Derek, any chance you could move to morning instead? I will slot you in one way or the other, but the greater need is in the morning at this point.
