Hard to believe, but the final race of the 2017 Stumptown series is coming up this Saturday (Nov 18).

There are 2 races happening - the women race a 6k at 9:00, followed by the men's 10k race at 9:45.  This is a the Pacfic Northwest regional championship event, so there should be some really fast folks from Seattle and other locations joining us for this event.  Should be some solid fields in both races, so I am looking forward to some great competition and fun on the rolling hills, grass, and dirt/mud at Fernhill.

Course maps, registration and other details are here:

And for the TRL crew that will be out racing and volunteering, I am proposing that we head to Hopworks on Powell at 1pm for a post-race pint and lunch.  In the past we have sometimes grabbed some food right after the race, but I say eat a burrito and some Dave's Killer Bread with PB and a banana to replace calories right after the race, then go home, take a shower and come hang out when you are less muddy and smelly (ok, maybe that will just be me).

Post if you are interested in joining, since I would like to get a reservation and have an idea of how many people to expect.

An update on the post-race gathering at Hopworks.  We have the banquet room reserved, so we have space for as many people as we can fit (ok, maybe not quite that many...).  But we should have space for everyone who wants to join (space for 15-25 people).  Just post here if you plan to be there so that we can give them an idea of how many to expect.  Right now they are expecting 15 or so people, but asked us to let them know if it was going to be more.

I hope to stop by.

If you didn't already see the results, links are below

Some serious competition throughout the series, but this race always brings out some serious competition.  Probably one of the most stacked fields you will find in any local running race.

Great racing out there today, Lizards!

And just to plant the seed for those who like to plan ahead... it looks like it is more than just a rumor that USATF club nationals will be in Spokane next December.  If you like to plan ahead, we will definitely be taking teams to Spokane next year, so add Dec 8 to your calendars now
