The Alpha Bunnies were saved! Facing potential disqualification from the XDog series for not competing in the minimum number of events (4); Sherri, Pamela, and Angie, as well as Pamela's friend Kelle, all ran in their first xc race. Julz also ran and led the way for the Alpha Bunnies as they took second place behind the Kujo team and ahead of the PD Chicks.

There is one XDog series race left and it will determine the women's team championship as both the Alpha Bunnies and The PD Chicks have won 2 events and the Kujo women's team won today - but did not win last week despite what the results indicated as the Kujo women only had 3 runners last week.

On the men's side, the Kujo team won the competition 20 pts to 37 pts over TRL. Pat Fear was 3rd overall and the TRL men had 3 in the top 10 but were missing too many top runners to win the race.

The men's competition will also come down to the last race as the Kujo men's team has won the last 3 races while the TRL men won the first 2.

The TRL masters team Old School won their division again.

The last XDog race in the series will be on Nov 28th. Hopefully with both the men's and women's team championships on the line we will see all the team members at that one!

Great job all you Lizards who were out at Barton Park. I thought it was a great course, and there were some solid performance all around. Definitely not your typical Kevin course, since no one had to swim across a river and I didn't see any blood after the race.

Obviously the old school guys are kicking some butt in their team category, since no one else has even fielded a full team - let alone touch the depth you guys have.

I echo the same thank you's to the females who kept the Alpha Bunny's hopes alive in the XDog series. It all comes down to the final race for the XDog series, so hopefully the dominating TRL women's team shows up on Nov 28.

And as for the TRL men's open team... where was everyone??? Pat ran a solid race, and Joe ran great for having been out sick for the past week. But we could have beaten Kujo with one or 2 more guys. Not that Karl and Andrew didn't run well, but neither of them want to be scorers glare.gif

So, we've got 3 races left to go in the 2 series. We may not be able to beat Bowerman at either of the races on the next 2 weekends, but you never know who's going to show up on a given day. We came close in the first Fit Right race, but they brought some serious depth last weekend (and we didn't sad.gif ) And I personally don't care if we do or don't end up beating BAC or Kujo - I would at least like to see a full Lizard team show up, give it the Lizard try, and if we don't end up victorious, at least we will all know we were there for the team.

So, let's see what we can do this coming weekend Team Red Lizard.

So the next race is Kevin's Cup on Saturday and Estacada on Sunday? Kevin's seems like fun, but I'm not sure if that's part of the series.

I believe in Fit Right #4 at Pier Park the women only have to do 5k.

All willing are eligible.

But you gotta purchase one of the team singlets for the bargain basement price of $16 dollars. There are 3 races left in the 2 series. Of course, the red xc team singlets just happen to be the club singlets for the foreseeable future. White is so passe. grin.png

I should point out that the price of $16 is for xc team members. Everyone else pays the normal rate of $22.

If we get at least 6 women we can form a co-ed team for each race (4 for the Alpha Bunnies and 2 for the co-ed team).

"Looking to score" a co-ed team.

UNfortunately, Kevin only counts members on one team. All of the Looking to Score members are on 1 co-ed team. So despite the fact that we had 7 masters, and 6 Mens open and 5 womens open = 18, Looking to Score won because they has 8 or 9 on their 1 team.

Hey, when we signed up, we had no idea we might win anything. It was just for fun. We signed up and have won kegs according to the rules. Try not to be so petty. We're not actually winning much in terms of actual races!!

Sorry, it wasn't meant as an insult. I was simply answering someone's question.

I think there was confusion as to how the word "team" was defined when deciding who won the "biggest team" award of the keg.

Have you guys really been draining all those kegs you've won?

Welcome to the board, bwt.

Feel free to reregister under your given name so if you post again, we won't think you are bragging about your "luck with the ladies" (or men). grin.png
