We need 15 to 20 people to volunteer at the Red Lizard aid station July 4 th at the Flat Half. We will set up the station, hand out water and energy drinks, cheer and take pictures of the runners.
We need at least 5 people who will stay at the end to help break down the aid station and take supplies back to the start/finish area.
Foot Traffic will provide everything we need for the aid station. We can bring signs, music, cow bells, snacks and drinks for ourselves. You can sign up by replying to this post.
There are a few shifts: all day, 6am to 10 am, and 8 am to 1130 am

Honestly, my favorite part about helping out at this aid station (which has been part of my July 4th tradition!) is stuffing my face with Sauvie Island raspberries that are sometimes next to the aid station. I am sure this is probably agricultural theft... but I cannot help myself. Anyway, all this to say that this is usually a really fun time.

If I'm not too jet lagged I'll be there to sling liquids.

If I had some ham I could make ham and eggs if I had some eggs.

Shelly, Hi! As for where to meet, just go to the Red Lizard Aid Station 7. Check out the course map at http://www.foottraff...ads/map2012.jpg for it's location. Check out the Flat Half website (http://www.foottraffic.us/flat/)for info on traffic/driving.SIgn me up for the 8am-11:30am shift plus the BBQ. What should I bring for that? Where should we meet if we're coming for the later shift?
If you come at 8AM, the races will have already started and there is limited ability to drive on the island during them.
As for what to bring, bring whatever you'd like; salads, fruit, chips, desserts, anything "picnic-like" would be fine.
See you there!
Jeff

"Why aren't you signed up for the 401k?"

6am is a bit early for me but if you still need people for the 8am shift sign me up.
Teal, maybe we can carpool out there for the 8am shift? I'd be happy to pick up anyone else coming from the NW area too, just let me know!
