Thanks for catching my Typing. (I SUCK AT IT) that would be a 5:15, I have updated, I am not that fast.

marathon - 2:52:35
Coaching HS-ers is fun because they get such big PRs in such a short period of time. I had one (slower) girl improve 1:25 in her 3k in the last two weeks, a jumper improve 2 feet and jumpers improve by 3-5 feet. We needed a replacement runner for our 4 x 4 today and my only alternate had run about a 73 sec. split before -- but I put him in at anchor just enough ahead of another team that he pushed himself to the limit to stay ahead and improved 12 seconds to 61!! Man, THAT was impressive! Oh and my 400/800 guy did win his double, but they (wrongly) scheduled his LJ right in the middle, so he was too dead to qualify for state in that.

I cycle between 170-200 lbs every year (follows the sun... and with sun bike rides). So my race times are quite varible.
The best race was just recently at the old river ramble near the top of my weight cycle.
Officially 46 min.. but due to bad planning on my part (wrong bib) I started about late... nobody at the start!
Then I forgot to start my watch.. I think I hit the start button about 1/4 mile into it. And when I finished the timer was 41 minutes. So best guess is 43 minutes.
Fastest was in HTC averaging 5:50 min miles over all legs (leg 7 2005) at the bottom of my weight cycle.

HTC is really the only race I try to hit pr on..
Normally I do not start "racing" until about 1/4 - 1/2 the way in an event instead opting for a social or training race. Anybody else do this?
In general:
Half marathon (Sauvies) 1:35
Marathon (PDX) 3:35
15K (shamrock): 1:06 (6:30s up 7:30s down.. really suck at the down hill)
12k (lake run): 57 min

I didn't contribute to this thread initially so that means I don't have to, right?

I ran a 7:11 mile at the track last night, and it didn't feel like shit, so there you go.

Who me? I think the 5k for the relay was under 28 minutes. So that would be one. I wasn't really keeping accurate time though. My 8:30 Guillotine mile definitely was. I plan on having a half marathon PR in Victoria that blows the Flat Half out of the water.

So a 2:57 Marathon is really my only proud stat. I DID run a marathon 4 years ago for fun and support with friends.. NEWPORT Marathon.. , and really no training. ONE RUN OVER 6 miles.. , and that was a 2 hour half marathon jog. Other than that, I tried the impossible jog.. with no(REGULAR) training over 6 miles. Result(Newport Marathon 4 years ago).. 1:53 half.. oops?... 3:56 Marathon stumble finish! I just leaned forward and stumbled the last 5 miles!! Really slow. I still can't believe I broke 4 hours, with only running maybe 3-4 miles a day on ave. , and only running ONCE over 6 miles. then doing a marathon. @ 49. STUPID HUMAN TRICK.
I have done a sub 60 sec 400m.
I have done a sub 37 10K.
and sub 19 5K.
One goal that I said I'd do way back when, and HAVEN'T... Is BOSTON. Crap...
and High Jumping one's height.. and, doing a backward flip, landing on your feet, or forward, and...... so on.
That's a thread we need... some of our EARLY goals.. (even if stupid).. and did we ever do it? NOT!!! Ha Ha.
That Boston thing... grrrrrrr.... I should look up the qualifying mark, for my next age division ... then think about it.
9 marathons.. and getting old.. that is about it. I just want to stay knee healthy to do all my fun scrambles and trail runs.
