It's BAKE-OFF time!!!

OK, the challenge has been laid down. Since Noahs and other bakeries that usually donate goodies won't be able to supply treats for our dog-exercising runners, it's time to get a preliminary poll to see who is the early favorite for bringing the best treats.

[yes, I'm really just trying to motivate someone to bring something... although if you really want donuts, you know who to vote for grin.png ]

There isn't an option for both Erika and Kelly to bring food. tongue.gif
And if it were me, I'd probably bring donuts, too.

Is Noah's not able to provide "Days end" for only Saturday? What is wrong with day old bagels or 2 day old bagels for that matter. They don't taste all that much different to me.

I could pick them up a day or two earlier if they're available.

That might be something worth checking into... Some other group had already requested the end-of-day bagels for Friday night. If that group isn't already taking bagels from days earlier in the week, perhaps we could get those.

This isn't a vote for who we want to bring food... This is a before-we-sample-the-goods poll to *motivate* those who think they've got what it takes to compete in the "bake off" grin.png

I was just going to post that we should add Jackie to the poll, looks like she's already there. Yes, those bars may have been a few days old (meant for H2C team) but oh so good!

How about this round we mix it up and anyone who wants to bring goodies does.
I typically let the Lizards take home leftovers, any additional left overs I take to all the hard working volunteers at the dog shelter. They love our dog run too!

We should get some kind of griddle set up and make fresh waffles. I don't have the equip myself, but if someone were to step up and bring some, I'd be willing to help make the waffles.

I'm too far away to bake, but I'll spring for the coffee and hot chocolate. Just tell me what time you need them, and I'll phone in the order to the Lake O SBUX.

"Why aren't you signed up for the 401k?"

"I'd never be able to run that far."

I'll be bringing goodies if I can. I can buy whatever we want from SBUX with a discount since I work there.

I will bring pumpkin bars. It's fall, right? Plus, it's good with coffee according to people who drink coffee.

I may or may not bring something.

Translated - if I bake something and it tastes like crap (cause I'm thinking those bars were a fluke), I'm not going to admit it - instead I'll say I didn't have time to make anything......
