Mark your calendars - the next Multnomah Animal shelter/team Red Lizard outing will be February 11th. Thanks to all who have participated. We are truly making a difference for these doggies. Five have been adopted directly from the outreach and the volunteers are convinced our outings have been related to many more adoptions. Dogs that have been waiting for months have found homes shortly after their Lizard outing. We all know how a good run can give you a positive attitude. As always, tell anyone you know who's considering a dog to come check them out.

When: February 11th 9:00 a.m. dogs are matched with joggers/runners/walkers
10:00-12:00 dogs are returned for more meet and greet time.

Who: anyone who would like to trot along with other 2 and 4 legged friends

What: exercise/socialize shelter dogs help them find forever homes

Where: Lake Oswego Petco 333 S. State St.

Why: Lizards and dogs love to run

Why else: free coffee and bagels!

check back in on this post for updatted photos/descriptions of our 4 legged partners as the date nears or go to http://www.co.multno...r.us/dbcs/pets/
many dogs and cats looking for homes.

I'm in! I'll provide the liquid refreshments again, and this time I'll be there as well. If there's a border collie, he or she is MINE!

I intend to make it.

I hope to be able to run 5 miles by then. Maybe I can even keep up with Kelly.

Noah’s Bagels generously donates their end of the day bagels to our shelter outreach.

In order to receive the bagels you have to be at the door ten minutes prior to closing time (7:00 p.m.).

I have a scheduling conflict on Friday the 10th. Would anyone in the Lake Oswego area be able to pick up and bring to the Saturday outreach? Noah’s is located @ 35 S. State St (same shopping mall complex as Starbucks, just down the hill from Foot Traffic)

I can do it, Angela.

Will they know I'm coming or do I have to beg?

Thank you! They are reserved under my name. Just walk in just before 7:00 and let them know you reserved the end of the day bagles. They have to lock up before they can bag them up for you. This means you get first dibs on the chocolate chip bagles!

Thanks again, and my sister thanks you since the conflict on the 10th is her birthday.

I got an email at work today from someone who saw the article in BrainstormNW and wanted more information. She just loves the idea that we do this...not up to running yet, but plans to come as soon as she has a Saturday off. She works at an animal hospital. Do we have a flier that we could send to various animal clinics and vet offices promoting the Run with the Dog event? I think they could help us spread the word and get more of these AWESOME dogs adopted!

Kelbelle and Biscuit are once again published on www.oregonlive.com
The run will also be listed on Channel 8's "Weekend Agenda" Saturday morning.

Looking to get the word out to potential adopters and hoping to see some new faces joining our group run as well.

Anyone want to meet early to run the Lake loop prior to the dog run?

Push off is at 8:00 sharp.

I'd probably be interested in running the lake on Saturday but maybe if any of you other slow pokes want to run with me I'll probably be starting a little before all the faster people like somewhere around 7:30 or 7:45.

Edit: I'm gonna push back my run to 8:00 and possibly run a shorter route if no other people my pace show up... tongue.gif
