There's no need to wait for daylight savings, when you can "spring ahead" into the race calendar by joining Team Red Lizard for the annual Five Miler and Kids Kilometer in Lake Oswego. This fast and scenic course follows Old River Road. The race starts at the Lake Oswego Foot Traffic store (333 S. State St) and finishes in George Rogers Park.

Kids Kilometer (ages 12 and under) starts at 9:30
Five Miler starts at 10:00

Five Miler: $20 by Feb 29*, $25 day of race, $15 for TRL members
Kids Kilometer: $10 by Feb 29*, $15 day of race
*commemorative technical race tee provided to those who register by Feb 5. No race shirts available for registrations after Feb 5, 2010.

Red Lizard Scholarship Fund:
The Red Lizard Running Club is a non-profit organization, and this event is made possible through the volunteer efforts of our members and generous donations from sponsors. Proceeds from the race will go into a special scholarshipfund that will help support high school track and cross country athletes. With the average cost for student athletic fees at $150, there are students financially unable to participate in athletics. The Red Lizard Scholarship Fund will provide a funding source for students in need to be able to participate in track and/or cross country.

Scholarship information and application form:
Applications for the Red Lizard Scholarship fund will be available in spring 2010. Applications will be considered for providing support for student athletes registering for cross country in fall 2010 and track in spring 2011 until all scholarship funds have been exhausted. Details will be sent to all race participants, local schools and coaches, and posted here. Check back here in April for further details.
